Hi! My name is Jade Sarong, and I am from Ontario, Canada!
I am a performer, choreographer, and creator who is currently attending Oklahoma City University as a junior dance pedagogy major for a Bachelor of Science in a BFA in American Dance Teaching.

I love jazz and hip-hop, but I also have many other experiences in tap, musical theater, ballet, and lyrical/modern dances, as well as having to teach many youths about dance and performance.
My dance teacher would always say that
"Hard work pays off!"
and I truly believe and value that.
My Story
From dance recitals to competitions to showcases to concerts, I started dancing at the age of 4 at Holly Hughes Dance Academy. I was the past captain of the Comp B Team at Holly Hughes Dance Academy and had many opportunities, like performing for the CTV News Live Show; went on the HHDA Spain Tour in 2019; did the ballet production for local participants, The Nutcracker, for Canada’s Ballet JöRGEN for 3 years; am an alumnus of a high school ShowChoir competitive team; and have been part of a talent agency in Toronto, Marky Hugh Productions, since 2019. This had sparked my joy for dancing and grown into a passion that strived to make it into a career.
I had many opportunities to perform as a backup dancer for celebrity concerts, a front act for concerts, and a featured dancer for big festivals and public events. I also participated in the World Champions of Performing Arts Competition (WCOPA) in 2020, a semi-finalist winning gold, and the Virtual Canada International Youth Dance Festival (CIYDF) in 2020, winning the Highest Gold Award (96%-100%). Additionally, I am a certified dance coach in her talent agency and have won many recognition awards, including “Most Dedicated Scholarship” (HHDA, 2016), “Dancer of the Year Award” (MH, 2020-2022), and “Best Dance Coach Award” (MH, 2022).
Now attending a prestigious university, Oklahoma City University, home to the renowned Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment, has become my defining milestone in my journey.
After 3 years attending, I will soon await my senior year, where the final push begins and a new beginning will commence soon.
